Terms of Use

Effective August 19, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Vidjournal — Video Journal, our website, and related services. By using Vidjournal, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Vidjournal. If you use Vidjournal on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. Our Privacy Policy also applies to your use of the service.

2. Eligibility and responsible use

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for your device, account credentials, backups, and all activity performed through your installation of Vidjournal. Do not use the service to violate law, invade another person’s privacy, infringe rights, distribute malware, or interfere with the service.

3. Personal license

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Vidjournal for its intended journaling purpose, subject to these Terms and applicable app-store rules. You may not copy, rent, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code except where law expressly permits it.

4. Your entries and content

You retain ownership of the videos, audio, transcripts, titles, and other journal content you create. You give us only the limited rights needed to operate, secure, synchronize, back up, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to record and store any person or material included in an entry.

5. Availability, updates, and backups

Vidjournal may change, gain or lose features, or be temporarily unavailable. Operating systems may limit camera access, transcription, storage, or background uploads. Although entries are designed to save locally first, no storage system is infallible. Keep your device secure and maintain platform backups where available.

6. Our intellectual property

Vidjournal, including its software, visual design, trademarks, text, and other materials excluding your content, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

7. Disclaimers

Vidjournal is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Vidjournal is a journaling tool, not medical, mental-health, legal, or emergency advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, entries, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of Vidjournal. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will post the revised date on this page and provide additional notice when required. You may stop using Vidjournal at any time. We may suspend or end access when necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address a material violation of these Terms.
