Recording and live transcription
Allow camera and microphone access when Vidjournal asks. Speak at a natural pace and keep the device close enough to hear you clearly. Transcription is produced on the device and may vary with background noise, language, or pronunciation.
Saving, offline use, and background upload
Entries save to your device immediately, including when you are offline. Private background upload begins when the device has a suitable connection and the operating system allows background activity. Keep the app installed and avoid clearing its local data while an upload is pending.
Daily streaks
A day counts when an entry is completed according to the local date and time on your device. If a streak looks wrong, confirm your date, time, and time zone settings, then restart the app before contacting support.
Privacy and device changes
Because entries are local-first, deleting the app or resetting a device before background upload finishes may remove data that exists only on that device. Before changing devices, let pending uploads finish and keep a secure device backup when available.

Vidjournal is available for iOS, macOS, and Android. Features can vary slightly by operating system version because camera, transcription, storage, and background activity are provided in part by each platform.
